AniMatch has closed its doors

After a meaningful journey, we wanted to let you know that AniMatch officially closed on September 30, 2025.

While this chapter has come to an end, we're incredibly proud of what we accomplished together. AniMatch was built with a simple yet powerful goal: to help researchers share laboratory animal organs and tissues, reducing unnecessary animal use in science while supporting the 3R principles (Reduce, Replace, Refine).

To everyone who was part of this journey—our users, partner institutions, collaborators, and supporters—thank you. Your dedication to ethical research and willingness to embrace new ways of working made AniMatch possible.

We hope the connections made and resources shared through our platform continue to make a difference in laboratories across Europe. The mission may continue in other forms, and we're grateful to have played a small part in advancing more responsible research practices.
